What can you expect with our approach to medicine?

Concierge medicine is a relatively new approach to primary care that aims to provide a more personalized and enhanced doctor-patient relationship. Most people have questions when exploring this elevated level of care.

  • While anyone can become a member of our practice, it is recommended to carry your own health insurance in the event that you need emergency room visits, hospitalization, or invasive or surgical procedures. The membership fee you pay does not cover any labs or diagnostic testing you may require.

  • Dr. Kalamkarian believes that in order to adequately and appropriately address an individual’s health concerns, it takes time. We want to make sure all of your health needs and concerns are being addressed at each visit and therefore limit the number of patients in our practice.

  • Yes. Dr. Kalamkarian is board certified in Internal Medicine and limits his scope of practice to that. Therefore, if necessary, you may be referred out as appropriate.

  • Please reach out to our office staff to check availability and make an appointment.

  • No. Dr. Kalamkarian is trained in Internal Medicine which limits his scope of practice to adult patients.

  • While these occurrences are few and far between, they do occur. For such instances telemedicine can be utilized. Keeping in mind, primary care is not a substitute for urgent care or emergency care, if there is an emergency, you should still call 911 or seek care at the nearest emergency room.

    Typically Dr. Kalamkarian’ s availability will be known well in advance and the office will plan accordingly.

  • We accept Blue Cross, Aetna, United Healthcare and Medicare.

  • You are still welcome to join our practice, however, the cost of services rendered will become out of pocket.
